Beano cushion
by Jade Nice
This cushion design was inspired by some kitchen storage jars from the 1970s.
The pattern is a great introduction to colour work, using just 2 colours in a row. It is knitted entirely in stocking stitch (knit one row, purl the next). The Dandy cushion is backed with a piece of plain or patterned fabric.
Finished size: To fit a 40 cm x 40 cm cushion pad.
Yarn: 4 ply yarn. We used 2 x 50g balls of Knitpicks Palette - one ball each of Ivy (A) and Spearmint (B).
Extras: A piece of fabric to back the cushion - measuring 42 cm x 45 cm.
A 30 cm zip
A 40 cm x 40 cm cushion pad.
