Bear and Cable Pattern
Knit loved ones this beautiful cosy blanket using only simple knit and purl stitches. Perfect to knit as a gift for a soon to be arriving baby that can be kept and treasured for years.
The pattern has a simple ribbed border with a baby bear head motif that alternates with a simple yet beautiful cable. The cable is really simple and perfect for beginners who might be attempting cables for the first time. The pattern includes detailed instructions and pictures on how to knit the cable.
Also included within the pattern is the option of using the duplicate stitch method to give your little bear some eyes/ nose features. There are photos and detailed instructions included in the pattern on how to do the duplicate stitch, and a chart so you can easily place the stitches.
This listing is for a digital download of the bear and cable blanket pattern, which is a written pattern and not a chart. A chart is supplied for the optional duplicate stitch.
When knitting the smallest size the blanket will approximately measure 20” x 22”, based on using 4mm needles and 150 grams of baby DK yarn. This is just a guide- the pattern can be knitted on any wool weight or needle size of your choice, just ensure you have enough of your chosen yarn to complete your project.
The pattern includes simple instructions to make this blanket both wider and longer, making the pattern fully customisable.
