Bear cardigan with pockets is a classical raglan worked back and forth on long circular needles top-down with raglan increases. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or long circular needles with the magic loop technique. This pattern is so customizable depending on your preferences for length. This cardigan should be worn with 3-5 inches/8-12 cm in positive ease at the chest.

Pullover sizes: 0-3 months (3-6 months) 6-12 months (12-24 months)
The sizes 0-3 months (3-6 months) 6-12 months (12-24 months) correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 14.5-16 (16-17.5) 17.5-19 (19-20.5) inches/36-40 (40-44) 44-48 (48-52) cm.

Finished approx. measurements (after blocking):
Chest circumference:
0-3 months - 19 inches/48 cm
3-6 months - 20.5 inches/52 cm
6-12 months - 22 inches/56 cm
12-24 months - 23.5 inches/60 cm

Gauge swatch (blocked):
22 stitches x 30 rows in stockinette stitch on U.S. 6 (4 mm) needles = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm

Suggested needles:
U.S. 6 (4 mm) circular needles, U.S. 6 (4 mm) double-pointed needles, if the sleeves are will be not worked using the Magic Loop Technique (or the necessary needle size to obtain gauge)

Suggested yarn:
DK (11 wpi) weight yarn (Cotton 51%, Manufactured Fibers 49%; 100g (3.5Oz) = 232 yards (212 m): 120 (140) 160 (180) g. Lion Brand Coboo used.
