This set includes a Bear Ear headdress/head-warmer which can be tied either under the chin or behind the head, and a simple straight scarf. This was designed in mind to be worn with mori kei and lolita-style fashion. There aren’t a lot of resources out there that are specifically designed with these fashions in mind so I wanted to set about changing that!

Materials needed:
1 pair x 6mm needles
1 pair x 8mm needles
A darning needle
Scissors
2-3x100g balls of 12 ply “chunky style” wool in which ever colour you wish - the suggested brands are not a must, if you have another brand or base textile you want to use go ahead!

This is a fairly simple pattern, I’ve based this off of my own head size and scarf width preferences. The scarf is not meant to be too long as it gets tied into a bow. If you were to make it smaller for a child size, I suggest measuring the distance from earlobe to earlobe over the top of the head, and the rough distance across the ear to get the width and length you’d roughly need for a heaadwarmer/headdress the appropriate size. The most complicated stitch that you’ll find here is likely going to be a Sl1K2Tog, PSSO combo which only come up twice right at the very end of the scarf and headdress. I promise you if you can do basic stuff, you can make this pattern.
