This cute little bear lovey can be made in different colors to match the choice of its new owner. This pattern was adapted from several existing patterns I tried which yielded bears that looked more like piggies--they were cute too, but they were not the pink bear that had been requested.

I did not measure the size of the finished lovey, but the original request was to have it be about the size of a large washcloth or face towel. The “blanket” was also requested to have a section with larger holes for wrapping fingers in, which the recipient found soothing.

My loveys include a circle or disc sewn on underneath the “blanket” to help the head be attached more solidly and to make the construction look neater. You may skip this option if you prefer.
