These traveling cables remind me of another one of my favorite hikes in the mountains above Santa Fe, the Bear Wallow Trail. This trail meanders through the forest, going up, coming down, along a creek, and enjoying some breathtaking views along the way. There is something alluring about eye catching cables set with a background of solid purls. All of this comes together to create a really classic hat, to match one of the classic hikes in my area.
