Bear Wobblers
A new set of wobblers! This time a couple of well-fed bears ready for a long winter’s nap. Like all the wobblers, push them down, and they wobble back up! See the last photo for a wobbler in action (a low quality .gif, but it gives you the idea!) The wobblers are knit in the round from the bottom up. Before they are closed at the top, an internal weight is installed, and they are stuffed with fiberfill. The ears, nose and arms are knit from purl bumps on the surface of the wobbler. The wobbler is then felted in a washing machine, with the eyes and nose embroidered post-felting.
Material Requirements:
Yarn: 1 Skein Lamb’s Pride by Brown Sheep Co.; Small: 50 yds; Large: 75 yds
Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, fiberfill, black embroidery thread or yarn (for eyes and nose), washers (see information on Internal Weight)
Internal Weight:
Small Wobbler: 2 inch diameter steel washers, weighing a total of 5.25 oz.
Large Wobbler: 2 inch diameter steel washers, weighing a total of 6.75 oz
