This unisex hat pattern begins with a long tail cast on in pattern and then the patterned rib is worked deep to allow for turning up and cover ears on the coldest days. The body of the hat features a simple but unusual cable divided by panels of seed stitch. The cables carry all the way into the crown shaping before the top is gathered to finish it off.
