This is a simple crocheted shopping bag. It has an open stretchy net construction and holds a good amount. It can be made from cotton or from string if you wish. I’ve used the prototype for two years now and have had to make for both my adult children because it fits in a pocket when empty and it perfect for daily essentials shopping.

Ravelry wanted me to specify a gauge for the pattern, but this slouchy net changes gauge throughout its construction as the mesh gets bigger, so ignore the estimate make it whatever you produce.

it is a fun one evening project for me, minimal thought meditative crochet. Have fun with it.

if you take the hook size up slightly you get more stretch, but, i only recommend it if you have long legs.
