The motifs are worked separately, joined with whip stitch, and a border added.

Since I crochet loosely, I use small hooks (G). You may want to use the H hook instead of my G.

Each motif takes about 150 yd (137 m).

I used many separate bobbins of yarn for each bear, especially around the head/neck and front paws.
