This is my first time writing a pattern. This hat was inspired by the children’s book I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen. This hat fits most children’s heads and would also work as a gnome hat or a hat from the Haberdashery in the book 13 Words by Lemony Snicket and Maira Kalman.

If you buy two skeins of the Shepherd’s wool so that you can hold two strands together, you’ll have enough yarn to make 2 hats.

Hat is worked from the top down on double pointed and/or circular needles.

Special technique required: disappearing loop cast on.
