Beatknits Blue
One of a set of four patterns for beatnik chic sweaters in the magazine. This long pullover with a stranded pattern in the lower part is just the thing for pairing with leggings when you’re heading out to the jazz club. The boat neck adds style and simplicity. A knitted cord creates shape around the waist. The pattern calls for 19 skeins of the main color and 4 skeins of a contrast colour, but does not specify yardage.
Materials: 19 balls main color, 4 balls contrasting color Totem knitting wool; 1 pair each Nos. 7 and 10 knitting needles.
Measurements: Bust, 34 in.; length, 25½ in.; sleeve seam, 16½ in.
Tension: 11½ sts. to 2 in.
