Beatrice Shawl
The 500 free downloads was well and truly exceeded! Thank you to everyone who has purchased the pattern so far. We have raised £30.92 for Endometriosis UK.
This shawl is derived from 3 of my favourite stitches: half-linen stitch; feather and fan lace; and twisted stitches (like cables but without the fiddly cable needles). The first prototypes had a simple feather and fan border, and although it is a lovely stitch I wanted the design to have more, and the lace in between the familiar pattern was created. The shawl is knit from the top-down, with short-row shaping to create a crescent shaped shawl. The loopy cast off edge is knitted, but could be swapped for a crochet hook if you prefer.
I’d like to add a special thanks to 3 people for their help, support, time, and encouragement:

Oopsies: the abbreviation KS is missing from the list. This is the Kiss Stitch, which is explained on page 3 of the pattern.
