Beatrix Shawl
Introducing Beatrix, the very first shawl design from Verity of Truly Hooked, designed to show off your gradient yarns.
Beatrix is written in UK crochet terms, and is for both beginner and more experienced hands. She has a simple 4 row pattern repeat which is easy to memorise making her quick to make.
Beatrix was designed on a trip to Norfolk this summer, and the name was chosen as it was a popular girls name in that area during the late 19th century.
Beatrix works with any 4 ply yarn and has been made in DK and lace yarn too. She works best with hook sizes over 5mm, bigger if you have tight tension, and blocks to create a beautiful semi-circular shawl, with a delicate design. She is roughly waist length, depending on your tension.
Beatrix was available for pre-release as part of an exclusive kit during July 2015. The kit contained gradient yarn, pattern, chart and an optional crochet hook, packaged in an attractive box.
