I have updated the file to my current format and style and I have added a chart for both sections of the shawl to help you get started. The pattern has written and charted instructions. If you previously bought this pattern you will have the updated free file in your library.**

The only thing that I changed in the earlier version was some of the wording and I simplified the instructions for the picots in the Picot Edging. I also added language to emphasize that this shawl has rows crocheted on a diagonal and that in the main body section the rows have an increase end and a decrease end. So, when you do the set up it will immediately show the diagonal rows starting.

We all know a few of them. They are the people who are always smiling and who always have something positive to say. They are the people that will brighten another person’s day without even thinking about it. These beautiful souls exude a radiant positive energy and stand out in a crowd. I am dedicating my scarf to all of the Beautiful Souls out there, and I hope that when you make and wear the scarf that you will let your positive energy shine and that you can brighten someone’s day. Or, make the scarf for a friend as a gift and pass on the positivity.

My Beautiful Souls scarf is crocheted in a boomerang shape with two colors of yarn. Starting with a few stitches the scarf gradually gets longer and wider. The first section is on the diagonal** and is an easy two-row repeat stitch pattern with 2 dc stitches placed in the chain 1’s of the previous row.

And the second section is an easy four-row repeat. A picot edging is crocheted around the end section of the scarf and then the scarf is finished off with tassels.

You will need about 860 yards of fingering or sock weight yarn, about 430 yards for color 1 and 430 yards for color 2. I used two skeins of the gorgeous Mineville Wool Project 100G Sock yarn (437 yards/skein), but any speckle and solid yarn colors will be just as nice.
