Beautifully Beaded Blanket
I love how the whirl worked within this pattern. The colour changes enhance the pattern. During testing, one tester has tried using a whirl for the dc and sc rows and a whirlette for the bead stitch rows which is working up wonderfully. I have also had testers work the piece in a different brand of yarn with different colours changes the effects have been fab.
This pattern is worked in a four row repeat once the pattern is established. It would be simple to adjust the finished size to personal taste - bigger or smaller following the stitch counts given in the pattern.
Gauge and tension are important in this pattern as I’ve found the corners can become elongated. To assist with this the pattern has a measurement for after 10 rows. It could be that a smaller hook may be needed foe every row or just the bead stitch rows.
In this pattern I used a whole whirl and between half and three quarters of a whirlette. The work is complete in one piece, meaning only two ends to fasten in!
I really hope you enjoy this pattern. My Mummy Made This is on Ravelry, Instagram and Facebook and I would love to see your finished projects.
