Beauty & The Beast Pullover
Inspired by the classic French fairy tale, Disney’s 1991 award-winning hit Beauty and the Beast tells the romantic story of a beautiful, intelligent girl who falls in love with a handsome, spoiled prince-turned-beast, thus proving once and for all that true beauty is found within. After the success of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Walt Disney toyed with the idea of doing an animated feature inspired by the classic tale in the late 1930s and early 1940s, and again in the 1950s, but it wasn’t until the 1990s that the movie made it to the big screen. Adored by critics and audiences alike, the combination of an enchanting story, stellar voice cast, catchy Broadway-style music, and cutting- edge animation led to worldwide acclaim and the first ever Best Picture Oscar® nomination for an animated film.
Featuring a stunning array of Beauty and the Beast characters and motifs including the enchanted rose, Chip, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Mrs. Potts in bright colors reminiscent of the stained-glass window in the opening title sequence, this is the perfect project for fans looking for adventure in the great, wide somewhere. Worked from the top down beginning with a stretchy cast on and ribbed collar, M1 increases are hidden in between the stranded colorwork. After the sleeve stitches are separated from the body and placed on waste yarn, the colorwork charts are completed in the torso, and the body is finished with a ribbed hem. Sleeve stitches are then picked up and worked in the main color only, topped with ribbed cuffs.
