Bebop
This pattern is not currently available.
Bebop was the abstract, asymmetrical form of jazz that emerged during the World War II era. It was a new, exciting style of music that perfectly captured the complex social upheavals of the time, and was a brilliant musical partner to the abstract expressionist movement that was taking over the art world. My very favorite style of jazz, Bebop had an energy that was not quite like anything else, and that’s what I saw in this stitch pattern.
Bebop looks more complicated than it is. The pattern knits up very quickly, and once the rhythm is established, you’ll find it to be perfect TV knitting -- easy enough so you can follow the plot of your favorite show, but way more interesting and fun than plain old stockinette stitch.
