Beckham Cardigan
Beckham is a unisex cardigan with a slightly oversized fit and modified raglan construction. It is knit bottom-up in pieces, which are then seamed together with mattress stitch. Back, Left and Right Fronts are worked fully back and forth; sleeves are knit in the round to the armhole, then finished flat. Main body of the cardigan is worked either in single color in stockinette, or with intarsia argyle print (thin diagonal lines are duplicate-stitched at the end). Hem and cuffs are worked in 1x1 rib, sleeves – in stockinette. Button bands are worked as you go in hollow rib. Collar is worked last (after assembly) in 1x1 rib.
This tutorial gives you detailed step-by-step instructions for the whole process, including written instructions, charts (optional), photo- and video-tutorials.
