The name Bédélia is a variant of the Irish-Gaelic name Brighid, which means “exalted one” and is associated with the mythic Celtic goddess of fire and poetry. Fire is a deeply spiritual symbol, representing a gift of life and warmth, inspiration and light. As you knit the Bédélia Beanie, you will notice the climb of the flame and feel the warmth of the light. The Bedelia Beanie is a knit pattern written for 5 yarn weights, with an option for one color or stranded two-color, and includes the option for a single or a folded brim.
