Yesterday I finished my last holiday knitting, so it is time to think about my next, selfish knitting project! So it is fitting to be launching BEDROCK, which is exactly the type of project I would choose. A stunning everyday cardigan featuring an easy fit, all-in-one-piece construction, an I-cord front edge that is continued on the back of the neck, big patch pockets (optional) and no buttons. And, it is knit in one of my favorite yarns: Madelinetosh DK Twist or Tosh DK.

• Madelinetosh Tosh DK 100% Merino Wool; 225 yds/205m per 100g skein: 6 (7, 7, 8)(8, 9, 10) skeins or
• DK weight yarn: approx 1225 (1375, 1525, 1675)(1800, 2000, 2200) yds/ 1125 (1250, 1400, 1525)(1650, 1825, 2000)m

NEEDLES
US sizes 5 (3.75mm) and 6 (4mm)32”/80cm or longer circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge and 1 size smaller

GAUGE
22 sts and 36 rows = 4”/10cm in Garter Rib on larger needle (blocked).
Take time to check gauge.

CONSTRUCTION
Body is worked to underarm and divided, then FRONTS and BACK are worked separately. After shoulder seams are joined, stitches are picked up along armhole edge and sleeves are worked flat to cuff and seamed. Pockets are worked separately and sewn on.
