Bedtime
This pattern includes a selection of sleeping bags, pyjamas and nightdresses for miniature woodland figurines/dolls.
Each item uses just a few yards of yarn and so search your stash for suitable scraps.
If you don’t have laceweight yarns, try a couple of strands of embroidery threads, tatting and crochet cottons, lightweight sock yarns. If you use thicker yarns, the finished garments will be bigger and ‘fatter’ but should still fit the dolls, albeit a bit looser!
To finish the garments, you will need to sew up a couple of seams, and add buttons (tiny buttons off shirt collars are ideal) or I supply buttons on my website.
The sleeping bags were knitted using double knitting yarns; but worsted-type would be ideal too. Here is an opportunity to use up tiny left-over scraps, knit in stripes if you wish!
The whole ensemble could cost you nothing, and create a lovely gift for a child. Kids love to enact adventures for their little figurnes and getting them ready for bed is a very calming way to end the day for a child.
Enjoy your knitting!
