This pattern is 12 pages long and contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.

You will need:

Yarn of your choice in black, yellow and white for the bee. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your bee will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK Yarn and my finished bee measures 12cm tall.

The same weight yarn in pale yellow and brown for the beehive, more brown and yellow for the sunflower, and in your choice of colours for the crown and small flower.

A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.

A small amount of stuffing for the head and body.

Black, brown, white, pale pink and green finer yarn or embroidery thread for the details on the face and beehive.

A pair of 9mm black safety eyes.

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and a stitch marker.
