Bee applique
A bee appliqué pattern written in US terms. The finished bee can be sewn onto accessories or clothing, or you could attach it to bunting or a key ring or magnet. It’s a quick and easy make, suitable for beginners. Seasoned crocheters will be able to whip one up in less than half an hour.
The pattern is 4 pages long and includes colour photographs of the finished item.
Using 5mm hook and DK yarn, the finished bee measures 8cmx6cm approx.
For this pattern, you will need:
DK weight yarn in white, black and yellow
5mm hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
Wobbly eye (optional)
Glue (optional)
You will need to be familiar with the following US terms:
Ch- chain
SS/Sl St- Slip Stitch
Rounds- working in rounds without turning
SC- Single Crochet
DC- Double Crochet
TC- Triple Crochet
FO- Fasten off
Magic Ring
Colour Changes
Increase by doing 2 single crochets in 1 stitch
Decrease/Sc2tog by joining 2 single crochets together into 1 stitch
Sp- Space
St- Stitches
RS- Right Side
