Bee Balm
“THIS DESIGN was inspired by ribbons on a lace-trimmed blouse,” says Emma Vining. “The lower section of the sweater has columns of eyelet ladders set on a reverse stocking stitch background. The background pattern changes to stocking stitch for the upper section. The transition pattern is worked in twisted stitches and eyelets in a series of V-shapes set below the front neckline and across the back. Using the same lace eyelet pattern on different background patterns creates a lovely contrast between the lower and upper parts of the sweater.”
