Bee Pocket Pal
This pattern is 12 pages long and contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.
PLEASE NOTE - This design is part of a series of Pocket Pal Patterns. If you have purchased the pattern for any of my Pocket Pal designs, you will be eligible for a 50% discount on any subsequent Pocket Pal Patterns that you purchase - no code needed!
This design is for a small doll, as well as a bee ‘outfit’ and a flower for them to live in!
You attach the arms to the doll as you work, and so the only sewing involved with this, is to attach the hat, to sew the bee’s wings to the
body, to sew the stem onto the flower and to embroider the facial details. The pattern also includes a poem that can be printed out to accompany the Pocket Pal if it’s a gift (or being made to sell as a gift).
Using 4 Ply cotton and & 2.5 mm hook, the Pocket Pal doll is 6 cm tall. With Aran / light worsted weight yarn & 4 mm hook it comes out at roughly 8.5 cm tall.
You will need:
Yarn for the Pocket Pal: Yarn of your choice in pale pink as well as one other colour for the body and hat. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your Pocket Pal will simply turn out bigger or smaller!
Yarn for the bee outfit & flower: The same weight yarn in black, yellow & white for the bee outfit, as well as green and a colour of your choice for the flower.
A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen.
A small amount of toy stuffing.
A small amount of black and dark pink finer yarn or embroidery thread for adding the details.
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and a stitch marker.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you
