This is the second in my beautiful series of decorated wine, champagne and theme liquor bottle sweaters. It makes beautiful gift wrap or decoration on the liquor shelf. As a beekeeper, we enjoy the delicate flavor of mead (honey wine). This bottle is a stylized bee with mohair and beaded wings. Bottle sleeve is easy to knit in the round with black and yellow worsted weight yarn. This sweater is designed for 10 ¼ inch circumference bottle (standard wine bottle), but easily adjustable for taller bottles. I left bottom open so bottle sits flat and I left top of neck open for easy pouring. Directions for the beaded wings are included. Wings are mohair with Crochet Beaded Cord accent edging (pattern enclosed). Eyes are black glass buttons. This design also fits S. Pellegrino 750ml water bottles if knit ½ inch taller.
