Beear is a deceptively simple knit, despite its colourful yoke.

It is knit top-down using a circular yoke construction, and is finished with 2x2 ribbing, to give it a classic style.

The colourwork in this pattern, is strictly speaking, not really colourwork. Rather it is more of an illusion.

The illusion is created by slipping stitches and varying your knit and purl stitches. Instructions for this are fully detailed. Indeed, you only ever use one colour in each row!

The increases for the yoke are all fully written, so there is no calculating to do.

Beear is named after a special little place my kids love to visit. It’s a treasure trove to them; a place of freedom and exploration.
You probably won’t find it on any map but for them it is a place full of delicious memories.
