A big beanie in super-bulky yarn, BeeBee is a cross between a Russian hat and a helmet. The stitch – an hdc variation – has thermal properties, creating a warm and cozy cap.

It’s worked from the top down in spiral rounds.

NOTES: I used Jo-Ann Big Twist Natural Blend in Almond and Loops & Threads Cozy Wool in pink for the sample hats. Yarn mixes – two or more strands of yarn held together – can also be used if the yarn mix meets the pattern stitch gauge.
