The yardage depends greatly on what size beanie you are making and how many rows you decide to use for your child’s head. Usually, as I making my beanies, I will have my child hold it up to their head as I go. If the loom is large enough to fit over their head, you can do it that way. Although this is for toddler/ child size beanies stretch fairly well and so this pattern might work for a child up to 10yrs.
