Brighten up breakfast with this Beehive Egg Cosy. This is a great project for beginner knitters to try as you just need to know three stitches (knit, purl and a k2tog decrease), and the cosy is knitted flat on straight single pointed needles (not in the round). The top loop is a single crochet chain, but you could add a loop of yarn instead if you don’t know how to crochet. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cosy knitted in acrylic DK yarn.

NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in Bright Yellow.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a 4mm crochet hook, and a bee shaped button to decorate.

One size only - The egg cosy not including the top loop is 7.5cm tall x 8cm wide (un-stretched).
