Beehive Tea Cozy
Easy-to-remember switches between knit and purl rows make this pattern simple to follow and rewarding to finish. Create a textured beehive and decorate it with little bee appliqués when you’re done! (Patons Yarns)
Skill Level: Intermediate
Patons® Classic Wool Roving
(100 g/3.5 oz; 109 m/120 yds)
77615 (Yellow) 2 balls
Size 6 mm (U.S. 10) knitting needles
Optional bee applique:
Black and gold worsted weight yarn.
White sewing thread.
Small piece of cardboard.
Glue.
Finishing: Sew side seams allowing pleats to lie flat and sewing through all thicknesses. Leave openings for handle and spout approx 4½“ (11.5 cm) on each side.
Some construction required to complete optional bee applique.
