Beetle Baby Backpack
Thank you so much for choosing to make my plushie backpack! This intermediate-advanced level pattern includes instructions for the plushie backpack and the regular plushie versions of the Beetle baby. This design also features an optional leg-kick mechanism using an air pump for those who want to add a little interactive fun! The backpack uses a premade, 7x9-inch drawstring liner, but those with sewing skills can make their own liner. If you’re making a kicking backpack, I highly recommend using the specified yarn or an equivalent to make sure the sizing is right. Mine measures about 16 in. tall and 7 inches wide, not including the arms. Any yarn weight will work for a pushie with no air pumps.
This pattern is written in US terms and is worked mostly in the round. The straps are “made to fit.”
