Before Noon is worked in the round, featuring an all over eyelet pattern.
First the brim is worked with a 1x1 rib then continues with an easy lace pattern repeat. The crown decreases are worked just over the last few rounds.

Circumferences (unstretched):
19 (20, 21)” {48 (50.5, 53.5)cm} to fit 21 (22, 23)” {53 (56, 58.5)cm}.

Techniques: Knitting, purling, tubular cast on, slipping sts, yarn over, decreases (k2tog), increases.

Gauge: 27 sts & 45 rows= 4” {10cm} measured un-stretched after blocking, knitted in the round in
1x1 ribbing with US1.5 {2.5mm}.

Material: Suggested yarn: Magpie Fibers Swanky Sock. (400yds/115g) (365m/115g).
Fiber content: 80% SW Merino, 10% Cashmere/10% Nylon.
The sample is shown in the colorway “Strange Brew”.
Or other light fingering weight yarn with similar fibre content.

Total yardage: 158 (176, 185) yds {144 (160, 169)m}.

Needles: US1.5 {2.5mm} circular needles (or other size needed to obtain gauge) with 32” (80cm) length for Magic Loop or DPN’s.

Other: 16-18 stitch markers (optional), smooth cotton waste yarn in same weight & E-4 (3.5mm) crochet hook for tubular cast on (optional), tapestry needle to weave in ends.
