This pattern is very easy to knit and ideal for beginner knitters or anyone who wants to make a project for a gift.
The pattern and concept of this blanket is super simple. Hand dyed yarn is just such a pleasure to work with.

SKILL LEVEL : beginner
You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, read a row by row knitting pattern, bind off stitches and weave in ends.

BLANKET SIZES
A 15” x 18.5” (38.5 cm x 47 cm)
B 27” x 34” (68.5 cm x 87 cm)
C 34” x 47”( 86 cm x 120 cm)

RECOMMENDED YARNS:
DK weight , light worsted yarn
You can knit with any yarn you like : wool, cotton or acrylic in DK weight / light worsted yarn.
A 420 – 440 yards
B 680 – 700 yards
C 1000 – 1050 yards
Please note, yarn amounts are approximate.
I recommend hand dyed yarn. But you of course can knit from one-color yarn.

NEEDLES: US 6- 7 (4 – 4.5 mm)

GAUGE : on #US 6 - 7 needles (4.0mm-4.5mm)
4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm) 19 sts x 30 rows
Gauge is not important as it is a blanket and it just amends the size a bit.
