This is a simple beginner’s pattern for a knitted beanie with a long brim that can be folded up for extra warmth. The brim can also be left unfolded to wear as a slouchy beanie. These are a big hit among my family every winter, and knit up easily in a few hours. This pattern is easily altered and can be knitted with either worsted or fingering weight yarn without too much of a size difference.
