Perfect for beginners, this teddy bear lovey is a wonderful introduction to crochet and amigurami. The blanket is a simple granny square design that can be customized with different colour choices and the teddy bear head is a fairly simple pattern to get you started.

You can use any washable yarn suitable for babies. I used Nako Saten sports weight for mine. You may need to change your hook size depending on your yarn choice, as long as the teddy head is crocheted tight enough so the stuffing does not escape. My blanket is usually 30cm square but again you can add or remove rows to make it your desired size.
