Here’s a simple beginner project, perfect for new knitters! This one-skein project is an easy design for cotton, hemp, bamboo, linen or another sturdy, worsted-weight yarn.

This knitting pattern is designed for beginners to practice stockinette and garter stitches while knitting in the round. The design is crafted on circular needles, knit from the top down, with an added strap and one seam at the bottom.

Detailed photos illustrate the directions - sewing the bottom seam, marking strap placement, and sewing with the yarn tail.

Skill level: beginner

Techniques: knitting in the round, sewing simple seams, stockinette stitch, garter stitch

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) x 16” (41 cm) circular needles, yarn needle

Finished Measurements: Large bag body is 11.5” x 9.5” (29 x 24 cm)
