Washcloths/dishcloths are so versatile and easy to crochet. This is a great beginner project to practice your skills. You can leave the border off if you want and just fasten off after the last row. These cloths are also very forgiving and shrink up a bit in the wash, so no one will notice uneven stitches.

Cotton yarn (Lion Brand Cotton, Lily’s Sugar and Cream Cotton or ILTY in cotton)
