This pattern is designed with the new knitter in mind. It will teach you skills you know, and some new ones to learn.

This knitting pattern includes three sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-9 months.

Level: BEGINNERS – VERY EASY

This pattern is very easy to follow and straight forward, and is written using standard UK knitting terms.

Materials required:

100-150g Aran weight yarn. We used DROPS Nepal as it’s a lovely soft and affordable yarn, available in a beautiful colour palette.
1 pair each of 4.5mm and 5mm knitting needles.
1 4.5mm crochet hook (optional)
1 large and 2 small buttons (depending on finishing option).

You will use the following techniques:

Cast on and off
Stocking(ette) stitch (plain and purl stitch)
Rib
Simple decrease shaping
Cast off
