This cowl was designed for a beginners’ class. It gives practice in the basic knitting stitches and gives a lovely result for a first time major project. It is knitted in the round. The small size forms a circle that will fit snuggly around the neck, the medium will fit once, but loosely, and the large can be circled twice around the neck for a splendid drape. Most students wind up knitting two or three as they look dramatically different in various colors and weights of yarn.
