I wrote this pattern for an intro crochet class to help beginner crocheters practice some of the basic crochet stitches like chain, single, half-double, double, and treble crochet, while also learning to read written instructions. A simple patterned section using chain and single crochet stitches is also included. The “recipe” pattern has sections that you can mix and match to create a unique dishcloth with a variety of stitches.

Gauge is not important, but go up a hook size or two if you find your cloth is too stiff.
