I developed a set of beginner’s patterns for a knitting class I am teaching at a local high school. The hats were specifically requested for a local children’s cancer charity and the four hats progress from a type comfortable for a complete beginning knitter through a hat for a more experienced and adventurous beginner. The patterns all include a Do It Yourself section for both beginners who are more mathematical or a teacher adapting the pattern to the student’s actual gauge and size request.
