This is a very simple, very beginner friendly pattern. It uses only simple stitches and easy to customize. The hat is made to fit based on your own measurements; so you can make it slouchier by making a longer chain at the beginning, make a wider brim by using more single crochets for the ribbing, use more colors, even add a pom-pom! The possibilities really are endless!

Yarn

Caron Simply Soft- 79 yds of each color (158 yds total for sample size)

Color A) Dark Country blue
Color B) Plum Perfect

The sample hat in this pattern is written to fit a 23” head. When measuring for yourself, measure where you want the hat to sit- in my case, I measured over the ears, as that would need more length.

This hat is crocheted flat and sewn together.
