The Beith Cowl (pronounced roughly ‘beh’, Irish for Birch) features an all-over travelling stitch motif over a striped garter stitch background. One colour is worked per round, with the leaf-inspired motif worked in the main colour only. The ‘pattern’ stitches are slipped when working contrast colour rounds.
