The Beja Sweater was inspired by the Beja region of Tunisia, which is nestled in the Mediterranean and full of ancient ruins. It is a round-yoked sweater that is first worked flat to create the button placket, with a second colour added after the body is joined in the round. The sleeves are knit using the magic loop method, with one round of rapid decreases before the ribbing and bind-off. A full YouTube tutorial is available below!

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Chest circumference: 18 (19, 22.75, 23) inches / 46 (48.5, 58, 58.5) cm
Yoke depth: 4 (4, 4.5, 5) inches / 10 (10, 11.5, 13) cm
Sleeve length: 6 (7.5, 9, 10) inches / 15 (19, 23, 25.5) cm
Total length: 8.5 (9, 10.5, 12) inches / 21.5 (23, 26.5, 30.5) cm
YARN:
1 (1, 1, 1) skein of Double Sunday by Sandnes Garn for the yoke OR 50g (50g, 50g, 50g) of DK weight yarn that weighs approx. 50g per 118 yards / 108 meters
AND
2 (2, 3, 3) contrasting skeins of Double Sunday by Sandnes Garn for the body OR 100g (100g, 150g, 150g) of DK weight yarn that weighs approx. 50g per 118 yards / 108 meters
NEEDLES:
-16 inch / 40 cm US4 (3.5mm) and US 2.5 (3mm) circular needles
-32 inch / 80 cm US4 (3.5mm) and US 2.5 (3mm) circular needles
NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, spare needle, 2 stitch markers, scrap yarn to hold sleeve stitches, 3-4 buttons (approx. 1-1.5 cm)
GAUGE:
24 stitches and 34 rounds = 4 inches/ 10cm in stockinette knit in the round
