Bejeweled
Welcome
Welcome to my pattern Bejeweled. What other name could I give this beauty with ornaments everywhere?
The pattern is available in English (US terms) and Dutch.
The pattern is worked in Overlay Mosaic Crochet, aka the one row method.
The pattern includes
- Charts (with X’s for the double crochets) and written instructions for two versions of the pattern
- Instructions and pattern for a double border
- A separate document including all the basics of mosaic crochet, color inspiration and more
Size
The blanket that I made 130 x 210 centimeters/51 inches x 83 inches, which is three repeats wide and five repeats high and includes the double border. You can of course make the blanket bigger or smaller, using more or fewer repeats.
Yarn stats
I’m giving you the yarn stats for Stylecraft Special DK, because that is what I used. You can of course use different yarn, but the amounts needed and size of your blanket may be different.
Amount needed for the total blanket with the double border 2.088 grams/74 ounces; specifically, 1.053 grams/37 ounces of color A and 1.035 grams/36.5 ounces of color B.
For the main body of the blanket, you will need a 4,5 mm hook (UK 7 hook). You will also need a hook
one size smaller than that for the border.
My blanket
I used Stylecraft Special DK for my blanket. I used Burgundy for my color A and 46 different colors for my color B. If you want to replicate my version: a color chart is included in the pattern.
For the cushion I used Sunshine as my color A and Midnight for my color B.
