Bejeweled Scarf
This velvety, all-merino knitted scarf pattern will allow you to make countless combinations of colors, one being the foreground pattern and the other being the background color. This is a unique pattern, and is worked flat. There is enough of the Araucania Huasco fingering (background yarn) to make two scarves. This pattern works just as well with lower weight fibers, so for instance, you can use US size 6 & 8 with any ARAN weight, or US size 5 & 6 with any worsted or fingering weight, and the weights can be mixed or matched. The 7-page thorough instructions may allow an experienced beginner to successfully work the project, however I do caution even an experienced knitter to pass on this one if you think you would not enjoy having to continually untangle the 3 required skeins. I also advise against using any single-ply for this pattern as it is too easy to split doing this pattern.
