The Belfast Beanie (formerly known as Beth’s Beanie) is a simple, cosy cable hat, knit in Donegal Yarns Irish Heather. It is knit in the round with a deep rib and cables that decrease to the crown. Two sizes are available in this pattern by using different sized needles,
choose your needle size based on size and gauge.

Size:
18 inch (unstretched) circumference - medium adult
(20 inch (unstretched) circumference - large adult)

Needles:
Medium: 4 mm/US 6 & 5 mm/US 8
(Large): (4.5 mm/US 7) & (5.5 mm/US 9)
16” short circular needle, long circular needle for magic loop, or dpns required to obtain gauge.

Yarn: Donegal Yarns Irish Heather Aran approx. 70g (156 yds/143 mts) Check your gauge as this will impact amount of yarn needed.
