i used size 2 yarn and created my own monochromatic effect which i explained in the pattern so one doesnt have particularly purchase monochrome yarn to make this dress.
also this dress isnt yarn consuming , i worked with closed to 5 balls of yarn for a size medium and less and more for sizes small and large respectively
